Support Local Businesses Near The Shoreline

Hopefully the last few weeks have brought about the opportunity to enjoy your time at home with a tasty home-cooked meal or other fun activities. Though we can’t sip a margarita outside or share dinner at our favorite restaurant just yet, showing our support for local restaurants and establishments is important for ensuring they’ll come back better than ever. Ordering takeout and delivery, buying a gift card for future use, or using online shopping options are great ways to help these places stay afloat right now. Read ahead for a list of fabulous local places that are open and ready for business! 

 

Restaurants

Cafe Options: 

Cuban-American favorite Pinecrest Bakery is the spot for delicious baked goods, with breakfast, lunch, & dinner options. They are open 6am-9pm for pickup or delivery.    

Juice & Java is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. currently. Their North Miami location is only offering their pizza menu at the moment, but their full menu is available from their Sunny Isles location. To order from the North Miami location, call in: (305) 705-3361.

Asian Influence:   

The husband-and-wife team behind Ricky Thai Bistro are committed to bringing the freshest and best ingredients to their Thai cuisine menu. They currently offer a limited takeout menu from 5:00-9:00pm and are accepting credit cards only. Place your order by calling (305) 891-9292.

Rama 9 Thai Dish & Sushi offers authentic Thai and Japanese dishes. Visit their website or call (786) 464-0888 for takeout or order delivery on Toast, Seamless, Doordash, or Postmates. Located in nearby Biscayne Commons, Oishi Thai is open for takeout and delivery. 

Basilic Vietnamese Grill is the spot for Pho and other delectable Vietnamese noodle dishes--- call (305) 944-0577 for takeout or order delivery here. 

Japanese: 

Elevated Japanese favorite Makoto reopens April 15th for takeout and delivery from 12-8pm and they will also be offering beverage takeout. If you’d like to purchase a gift card for future use, they are available here.  

Caribbean:

Little Havana Restaurant serves up the best in tasty Cuban dishes. You can order online for pickup here or delivery is available via Postmates. 

Another great spot for authentic Cuban cuisine is Three Palms Cuban Cafe. Call (305) 891-0046 for 24-hour takeout or order delivery through Postmates or Doordash. 

Ivan’s Cookhouse is known for their inspired Caribbean-Asian fusion cuisine. Call (305) 944-4826 to order takeout.  

Italian: 

If you’re looking for a slice, Piccolo Pizza is your neighborhood go-to. Order online via Slice and receive 5% off. Call (305) 893-9550 to order pickup. For Northern Italian cuisine, check out local favorite Casa Mia Trattoria. Call (305) 899-2770 for takeout or free delivery. 

Traditional Fare:  

Classic American restaurant Houston’s is offering takeout with a curbside pickup option. You can view their takeout menu here. Call (305) 947-2000 for their daily hours. They also have gift cards available. 

For Groceries:

Publix at Biscayne Commons is open daily from 8am-8pm, with reserved shopping hours from 7-8am for customers 65+. They also offer online shopping options and curbside pickup. 

Total Wine & More offers online ordering, as well as in-store hours Monday-Saturday 9:00am-8:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm-8:00pm. Monday through Friday 8-9am are designated Seniors Only in-store hours.   

Shopping

Many great local boutiques have online shopping options available. Flying Lizard specializes in athleisure and has 50% off all sale items currently. Mix & Match is a boutique offering contemporary women’s clothing. Pure Soul Boutique has an array of accessories and gifts, as well as clothing. 

Supporting the Arts

Even though we can’t spend the afternoon strolling through a museum just yet, many local art institutions are offering virtual options that are the next best thing. Pérez Art Museum Miami is providing a digital museum, where art enthusiasts can find virtual tours, online art talks, and guided art projects for kids.
